'Let's go Brandon' is somehow reminiscent to me of how things work on the Chinese internet ... the only one I can remember from back in the day is the silly 'grass mud horse', but i know that kind of wordplay was often used to evade mind control censorship.

@sjors decades of practice. But i think wordplay has a lot more scope to be ingenious in Chinese, too.
